Antique French silver ring with an oval carnelian cabochon, in an intense reddish-orange hue. The stone is set high upon an openwork mount, surrounded by a symmetrical composition of flowers and leaves in relief, with darkened backgrounds that provide depth and highlight the ornamental silver work.

The design retains a clear persistence of the Art Deco language, visible in the geometric organization of the mount, its marked symmetry, and the stylization of the botanical elements. The flowers function as a decorative motif within a more architectural structure, characteristic of the late Art Deco taste still present in certain French jewelry from the mid-20th century. The decorated shoulders extend the design toward a band with longitudinal lines, completing a piece that is especially attractive due to the contrast between the silver and the warm color of the carnelian.
