Round locket in nielloed silver with hand engravings, ca. 1910–1920

Round locket in nielloed silver with hand engravings, ca. 1910–1920

Out of stock

A round locket made of nielloed silver, dated between 1910 and 1920, with fine hand-engraving on both sides: one with a concentric geometric design, the other with a central garland surrounded by interlaced motifs. The niello technique creates a striking decorative contrast highly prized in early 20th-century European jewelry.

The interior retains the original frames with blue and green fabric backgrounds, designed to hold two portraits, locks of hair, or sentimental keepsakes. It features a working hinge and a top handle for hanging as a pendant, on a ribbon, or chain.

A symbolic piece of souvenir or sentimental jewelry, with understated elegance and sentimental value, ideal for lovers of antique jewelry or collectors of reliquaries.
