Antique Art Deco Vamp Silver Cigarette Holder with Spider and Bee, Femme Fatale 1920

Antique Art Deco Vamp Silver Cigarette Holder with Spider and Bee, Femme Fatale 1920

Out of stock

Art Deco tobacco holder with spider web and bee relief decoration. A piece inspired by the femme fatale aesthetic and the vamp drama of the 1910s-1920s, and ornamental design of great character.

During the first decades of the 20th century, the figure of the vamp woman and the femme fatale defined fashion, cinema and decorative arts. Motifs such as insects, spider webs and dark elements evoked mystery, sensuality and sophistication within the decadent and symbolist imaginary. This mouthpiece combines stylized lines and naturalistic relief details, making it a unique collector's item linked to the world of tobacco and early Art Deco aesthetics.
