An original Oria brooch, made of gold-plated metal with an openwork floral design typical of the Art Nouveau style. Manufactured circa 1910-1920, it features a central flower set with a red crystal and an elegant elongated silhouette. Signed and in excellent condition for its age.
Brooch by Oria, an iconic French manufacturer active between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This elongated piece, crafted in gold-plated brass, depicts an openwork plant motif with a central flower and stylized leaf, typical features of the Art Nouveau repertoire.
Technically, it features high-precision die-cutting and a satin finish. The inlaid red crystal acts as a floral centerpiece, evoking the naturalistic and symbolic influence of the modernist movement. The clasp is an original long-needle clasp with an open hook, compatible with dense fabrics such as wool or velvet.
This type of brooch was a common accessory on lapels, blouses, and shawls between 1900 and 1925. Today, it is a highly valued collector's item for its design, recognized artistry, and intact condition.
