La Ratita Presumida, also known as The Vain Little Mouse, has been part of Hispanic popular tradition since the 19th century. This brooch depicts the character with a broom and apron, through sculptural work with simple and expressive lines. Figurative jewels inspired by tales and anthropomorphic characters were very present in decorative jewelry of the second half of the 20th century due to their playful and collectible nature.
