Brooch of French origin made of silver and gold views, with national symbolism, this composition is based on the Thistle flower and the cross of Lorraine. With modernist lines.

The Cross of Lorraine was chosen as the emblem of Free France during World War II to counter the swastika. This symbol, proposed by Emile Muselier to Charles de Gaulle in 1940, became a powerful icon of the French resistance.

After the Liberation, the Cross of Lorraine became a symbol of freedom and resistance. In addition, our brooch incorporates the thistle, emblematic of Lorraine and the city of Nancy, known for its medicinal virtues according to the Greeks and Romans, as well as for its ability to drive away demons, a belief transmitted by René I of Anjou and popularized by René II with the expression: "He who rubs, itches!"

Weight: 3.87 grams.
Dimensions: 3.2 cm long and about 2.8 cm wide.

Composition:
**Silver and gold sights with no visible contrast, acid tested.
