Out of stock
Antique pocket box made of silver, with a visible 800 hallmark and hand-engraved floral and vegetal decoration. Due to its dimensions and construction, it was probably used as a pillbox, snuff box, or small portable personal case.
The lid features a composition of dynamic leaves and curves commercially compatible with a historicist style inspired by Art Nouveau, although it does not correspond to a fully defined modernism. This type of floral and curvilinear language frequently appears in small decorative objects and personal accessories from the first third of the 20th century.
