Small Dutch silver box with hand-ribbed finish and central heart detail. It retains Dutch sword hallmarks used between 1906 and 1953 for .833 purity silver pieces. Possible original use as a pillbox or snuff box.
The geribd finish is characterized by parallel lines manually chiseled over the entire surface. These types of small utilitarian boxes were popular in Europe for their practicality and craftsmanship. It shows visible soldering next to the heart.
