Vintage necklace composed of large, spherical white porcelain beads with cobalt blue enamel. Each bead is decorated with symbolic characters from traditional Chinese culture, highlighting the motif of longevity ("shou"), represented in stylized script. Stringed on blue textile thread with visible knots between each bead, a technique common in mid-20th-century pieces.
Striking and harmonious design, inspired by oriental export necklaces, highly appreciated in the Western market since the 1950s. The clasp is a fully functional metal barrel, engraved with geometric motifs.
