French Art Nouveau cross made of tested silver and mother-of-pearl, with a figure of Christ applied to the front and elaborate openwork vegetal-inspired finials on the four ends. The structure combines smooth mother-of-pearl surfaces with ornamental silver mountings, small floral details, and a top ring for suspension.

The scrolls, vegetal forms, and openwork finishes correspond to the decorative language of late Art Nouveau, applied here to a piece of Christian devotion. The combination of mother-of-pearl and white metal was especially prized in small religious objects and European devotional jewelry from the early 20th century. By construction and ornamentation, the piece is consistent with an approximate dating between 1920 and 1930.
