Antique devotional religious cross, crafted from natural mother-of-pearl and silver, with openwork Neo-Gothic appliqués at the ends and a central relief of Christ. This piece, dating from between 1910 and 1920, features a symmetrical structure with scroll finials and stylized vegetal motifs in cast silver, which enhance its ornamental character. The inscription "INRI" appears on a small plaque applied to the top. The reverse is flat, with visible clasps and a ring at the top for hanging.
The contrast between polished mother-of-pearl and solid silver elements is characteristic of early 20th-century French productions, intended for both liturgical and domestic use. This type of pendant cross was common in large rosaries, personal devotional practices, and private chapels.
