Antique Victorian green glass and silver perfume bottle, floral decoration, England, ca. 1880–1900

Out of stock

Small dark green glass Victorian perfume bottle, with a flattened body and architectural profile. It features gold and silver floral decoration, with plant motifs, scrolls, and small circular elements distributed over a central panel, framed by borders and geometric details. The neck incorporates a mount with a hallmarked silver stopper, with a hinged opening.

These types of miniature perfume bottles were used during the Victorian era to carry small amounts of perfume or aromatic essences. Pieces under 5 cm are especially interesting to collectors due to their small size. Some were part of *chatelaine* sets, chains or accessories that women wore suspended from their waists to keep small personal objects handy. The combination of decorated glass and silver was common in vanity and perfume accessories from the late 19th century.
