Victorian silver perfume bottle with fluted design, signed by S.M, Sampson Mordan & Co, London, dated 1882. Cylindrical shape with hinged lid and embossed diagonal lines.

An example by an important English silversmith, Sampson Mordan & Co, founded in 1880. It features full English hallmarks and the mark of the distributor Tonnel, 12 Rue de la Paix, in Paris. Its interior preserves the perfume compartment. A collectible and luxury item, representative of elegance and functionality in the Victorian era.
