Small Art Nouveau brooch in silver with embossed iris flower – floral jewel
Small Art Nouveau brooch in silver with embossed iris flower – floral jewel
Out of stock
Original Art Nouveau brooch, circa 1900. This small and delicate piece is made of silver and features an elegant openwork motif of iris flowers in relief, one of the most emblematic floral symbols of the Art Nouveau movement.
The iris, a recurring element in late 19th-century jewelry and decorative arts, represents elegance, renewal, and femininity. Its shape, ideal for the sinuous lines of Art Nouveau, is masterfully captured in this dynamic and detailed asymmetrical composition. The casting technique enhances the floral volume and creates visual depth.
The brooch retains its original "C"-shaped clasp with a long pin, typical of Belle Époque goldsmithing. It is in excellent condition for its age, with a rich patina that accentuates its historical character.
A small gem of compact size and great aesthetic presence.
