Antique engraved silver nib, designed to be carried in a chatelaine. Its tubular body, finely decorated with embossed floral motifs, recalls the aesthetic taste of the Victorian era (circa 1900).
Inside, it houses a tubular rod, possibly made of celluloid, Bakelite, or another ancient material, used for applying ink or marking. The top ring made it easy to attach to chains, ribbons, or belts, typical of chatelaine accessories.
These pieces were common among society ladies, who combined functionality and elegance in their everyday accessories. Today, they are highly sought-after items among collectors of chatelaines, lovers of antique stationery, and vintage sewing enthusiasts.
