Early 20th-century Art Nouveau locket medallion, signed by FBE Genève and crafted in 935 silver with guilloché enamel and enamel paint. From Switzerland. The piece combines goldsmithing with artistic enamel in an unusual representation: a white elephant on a purple background.

The reverse features a delicate lavender guilloché enamel with a radial pattern, while the obverse features a miniature scene executed in vitreous enamel. The clasp functions properly, opening a gold-plated interior with visible hallmarks, such as "FBE Genève" and "935," guaranteeing both the quality of the metal and its origin, as well as the registration number of the model 854.

During the Art Nouveau period, jewelry with enamels and naturalistic motifs gained great importance. This type of locket, which evokes sentimental or travel-related items, was used both as a souvenir and as a symbolic object of protection. The presence of an elephant, a symbol of good fortune and a lasting memory, reinforces its emotional character and the exoticism so prevalent in the 1920s.

An ideal gift for those who appreciate designer jewelry, collectors of Art Nouveau, or enamel animal iconography.
