Devotional metal pendant medal depicting Christ Pantocrator on polychrome enamel. Period piece, probably from the beginning of the 20th century, made with the fired enamel technique.
The scene depicts Christ facing forward, with a cruciform halo and an open book bearing the letters Alpha and Omega, symbolizing the beginning and the end. The image is framed by a quatrefoil border reminiscent of decorative elements in Byzantine sacred art.
It is a typical piece for domestic worship or pilgrimage medals, highly valued by collectors of portable sacred art or enameled religious accessories.
It can be used as a pendant or kept as a devotional object.
