This elegant egg-shaped purse is decorated with Egyptian details and on its front, it features a charming architectural illustration showing one of the magnificent pavilions of the exhibition, possibly inspired by the Egyptian Pavilion, as reported in the press of the time that the iconic temples of Egypt such as those of Abydos, Karnak and Ipsamboul were evoked.
The body of the purse features motifs reminiscent of the Egyptomania of the time, a style that was very popular in Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reflecting stylized hieroglyphics, abstract patterns and bright colors that evoke the mystery of Ancient Egypt.
