Elegant Art Deco round hanging powder compact in sterling silver with exquisite purple guilloché enamel, dated 1920 and hallmarked for London.
The front features a concentric geometric pattern typical of guilloché, a mechanical engraving technique that creates hypnotic visual effects beneath the translucent enamel. Inside, the original gold-finished mirror is preserved, a luxurious detail very characteristic of the period.

The official hallmarks trace its history: "M. Bros.," probably the work of Martin Brothers, British silversmiths. The "U" import mark on the shield indicates a London assay. Letter "f," official date 1920. "925," sterling silver. Number "14," possible pattern or batch reference.

During the 1920s, hanging powder compacts were more than just accessories: they reflected the new feminine freedom and the desire to carry the essentials in style. This piece not only represents an object of vanity, but also a symbol of the glamour and social evolution of modern women in the early 20th century. An ideal gift for women or a new addition to their collection.

Ideal for collectors, lovers of Art Deco design, or as a functional piece of jewelry with history.
